On November 10, 2025, a new air traffic control tower (ATC) was opened in Muynak (Republic of Karakalpakstan). Built in a modular format, it was the first of its kind in Uzbekistan.
The project was implemented by the Uzaeronavigation Center as part of reforms to modernize air navigation infrastructure and develop regional air navigation facilities.
The new ATC will ensure reliable air traffic control in the western regions of the country. It is equipped with modern communications and control systems and meets all technical requirements for 24/7 operation.
