In the context of rapid technological development, the issues of safety and sustainable operation of facilities are becoming especially relevant. That is why in each territorial department of the State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigatsia" Centre in order to ensure uninterrupted communication, modern remote control and monitoring systems are being implemented, allowing real-time monitoring of the diesel generator and fire alarm system.
One of such projects was successfully implemented in the Urgench territorial department of the Internal Affairs Directorate.
Why is this important?
It is not always possible to physically control technical equipment, especially if the facilities are located far from the central point or operate in conditions of limited access. In such cases, a remote monitoring and control system comes to the rescue, which allows you to control the situation in real time - quickly, efficiently and safely.
What have we done?
The specialists of the Urgench territorial department developed and implemented a system that includes:
Telemetry for the city power grid - allows you to monitor the stability of the power supply and, if necessary, start a backup power supply;
Automatic diesel generator activation – when the city grid is disconnected, the system starts the generator without human intervention;
Remote generator control – engineers can control its operation from the central post;
Temperature control – the system records the temperature of both the generator itself and the equipment room, which helps prevent overheating;
Fuel level control – allows for timely replenishment of supplies, preventing emergency shutdowns;
Fire alarm – can be integrated into the system and display data at the shift engineer’s workplace.
How does it work?
All information from the sensors is transmitted via secure communication channels – be it wired networks, radio channels or satellite transmission – to the central computer. The operator or shift engineer receives a full report on the screen: current parameters, alarms, and can also remotely turn equipment on or off, and change settings if necessary.
The system is designed with the ability to be upgraded – additional modules can be built into it, automatic response scenarios can be configured, and it can be integrated into a wider facility management network.
What are the advantages?
Safety and reliability. The system is protected from unauthorized access.
Timely response. The operator sees the problem at the moment it occurs and can immediately take action.
Cost reduction. There is no need for round-the-clock duty on site.
Today, such technologies are no longer elements of the future and are becoming part of everyday work. The system implemented in the Urgench territorial department ATC has already proven its effectiveness and reliability. This is a step forward towards digitalization, energy efficiency and increased safety of the entire air navigation system.
