Today, the second meeting of the Strategic Review Board for Uzbekistan (COSPRA) started in Tashkent, organized by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Civil Aviation Agency.
The event is attended by representatives of airlines, airports, manufacturers of aviation equipment and machinery, as well as experts from international aviation structures. The national air navigation service provider - State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigation"Centre - is represented at a high level and plays an active role in the meeting.
The main goal of the meeting is to strengthen aviation security and improve the efficiency of air transport in ICAO member states through the implementation of harmonized and uniform aviation security standards and oversight procedures. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of ICAO Annexes, compliance with international requirements and guidance materials, which in the long term should contribute to the socio-economic development of the subregion.
Particular importance is attached to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within the framework of the meeting. COSPRA serves as a platform for discussing mechanisms for sustainable and long-term support to Member States in achieving these goals through the development of a safe and efficient aviation system.
During the meeting, the National Flight Safety Plan of Uzbekistan was presented, in the development of which specialists from the State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigation" Centre took an active part. The document reflects modern approaches to flight safety management and demonstrates the country's commitment to high international standards in the field of aviation.
