In the period from 12.04.2024 to 05.03.2025, the State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigation" Centre in cooperation with the International Air Transport Association IATA carries out a phased implementation of the project to introduce the PBN (Performance Based Navigation) concept in the airspace of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The PBN concept is a navigation system based on navigation characteristics that combines and systematizes all the requirements for the accuracy of navigation in the airspace. The main requirements for the equipment are accuracy, integrity, operational readiness, continuity and functionality.
In particular, in 2025, it is planned to introduce maneuvering schemes using navigation based on the accuracy characteristics of PBN at the airfields of Tashkent, Urgench, Nukus, Andijan, Karshi and Sariasiya;
- optimization of airspace classification;
- establishment of a single absolute altitude and transition level throughout the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On March 5, 2025, in Tashkent, a meeting was held between the Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Uzaeronavigation" Centre and the IATA manager D. S.
